Pfffff ! It’s only tuesday.
Oto went to the day nursery for the first time yesterday and will stay here now. It’s what Hubby and I always wanted to be. But on this second day, Oto started crying and asking for my arms. Ouch ! As I felt heartbreaked, I left quickly with sweet words and kisses but I feel bad since. Although I know he will adapt. So I will.
My problem is that the nurses just don’t tell anything about his day (activities, crying, sleeping, etc) if you don’t ask for. And even then, they’re not good at giving details…

Tomorrow Oto is 11 months old. Just cannot believe it !

So Takayo teached me how to make maki. Let’s say it : it’s so damned easy. And better tell you that I do not often cook.

Yannis is feeding Oto so I could have my lesson… And he’s good at it.

We made a few ones for Lazy Yannis and Takayo prepared some plates with everything you need to make your own by yourself with cutted nori.

It couldn’t make me happier ! So now, I can make soba soup and maki.

Also, Otohiko tried his little swing. It couldn’t make him happier as well.

Then our friends left and I made them promise to come back soon.

It’s about Daisy & Violet, 2 crazy siamese twins and their phantasmagorical world.

She spoiled us rotten !

So on Saturday, we went to the « marché » to pick up few ingredients for maki making. It’s an old opened market and to add to the french touch, we drank a little glass of wine while an accordion was playing next to us. Parfait.

With the help of our favorite gardener and Takayo, Bruno-kun is planting grass.

After a delicious soba soup and a thrifting afternoon, we went at Shell-e’s and picked up some fresh fruits and tomatoes in her garden.

You’ll know soon what’s inside Shell-e’s closet…

Ouch ! It hurts !

Well. Nevermind. ( imagine me turning my wheels away from screen with high chin saying « I’m a big girl »)

Opened my boxes of stuff I cannot throw away and added some left bits of fabrics and made some rosettes just to empty those boxes and fill it with new treasures.

Off to bed, I’m exhausted of those 3 weeks of activities. Feel like I won’t be able to do some more because of the lack of time/back to normal days.

We’ll see.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !

As my vacations are ending, lots of projects too. Which is good.

First, my House Industries wall is simply awesome. (Click on pictures to enlarge). It’s not perfect but really nice for me considering I made it during Oto’s naps. Now, I’m waiting for some new mails from them to collect new materials ^^.

I was stressed about 3 weeks of being a full time moma (yes it is stupid). But everything went perfect and we had lots and lots of laughing moments with our 10 months old son (Gee ! 10 months !).

Oto’s playing pedal steel guitar of cheerful daddy (  » come on come and see honey, he’s playing guitar ! « ). Huby got like 3 ukuleles, 2 steel guitars, 2 guitars, 1 bass guitar, 1 set of drums, and amps and theremin and etc… Guess who’s gonna learn music later ?

You may see Takashi, our younger cat. He’s black. He’s nice but be sure when you here little sounds like a threatened mouse or a half-crunched little bird it’s all about Takashi. That’s why we used to call him « Gestapo » when he proudly comes back with his living dead gifts.

And this is Kaiser Oto – looking so nice with his blueberry mustach.

And this is Lili Le Coach – on right >_> and her chicks. Lili’s got all kind of eggs… She hosted a « canette » morning sewing meeting today and made a bag in a snap.

I -hardly- made a felt cushion. Colorful.

To hide mistakes, I used a large button you may cover with fabrics. This is how it works :

And this is… my favorite new dress made by Lili Le Coach ( because I win her contest ! ) and it’s just fabulous !

Everything is perfect on this dress from bottom to top. Magic fingers I already said… Merci merci merci Lili !

I love you my dreamy dress ( yes it is stupid too to speak to a piece of fabric – I know).

Look at some details which are very smart : n°9 the frame with ribbons, n° 8 funny collection of bits of fabric, n°13 fabric on frames and many colorful cushions for an ordinary sofa, n°16 Origami cranes on a mobile that our friend Jasmine could make.

Of course, the challenge is to find stuff or ideas that don’t cost a dime and could match Le Coach’s taste which I must identify a little bit more for the moment…

So anything to share, lovely and smart people ?

so today I met Le Coach, Jasmine « I swear but I’m sweet », Valérie & her daughter for a sewing time under the watchful eye of Mr Muscle, Mighty Milo and sweet of the sweets Prune. Jasmine had prepared some gifts for us and gee ! I LOVE it ! Those origami cranes are just blasting with their vintage buttons. Thanks to Jasmine to bring some luck in our lifes. Look at the one I choose near the pic of Jasmine.

And here are some « doigts de fée » (Le Coach’s magic fingers) working on a dress for me ( YEEEES !). Yellow is my new favorite color.

Then, on the afternoon, I worked on some boring files like paying bills, etc. But I found a little hour to finish my House Industries wall. Just have to wait some sunshine to share some pics.
