mixed feelings. (XMAS IS HERE)

Seems like it’s Christmas already. My friends offered me a lot a gifts these days, help or attention. Feel like I’m blessed ! Even hubby started yesterday to spoil me with a 1 year subscription to the Roller Derby mag Blood and thunder.

And this weekend it’s the first bootcamp for our team. This is how days go by :

Excitement and fear. Changing from one to other in 2 seconds. Again and again…

I’ll try to come back with all my bones and take pictures of this awesome event in my newbie derby life !

alive and motivated.

Oh my dears, I’m so not here. I’ve been a bad bad blogger. Since Roller derby came into my life, I just have to admit it became an obsession and near a full time job. Plus, I have trouble with my shop so you cannot access to it nor to the freebies. Sorry. Till xmas, I guess it’s gonna stay as it is now. Waiting for new year for new things.

With little help of my friends, I could order those Wicked Riedell skates.
oh my ! I’m in love.

I’m just skating faster. So fast that I’m afraid ! oops.

All the family get involved in this new adventure : I cannot stop talking derby ! Lucky I am to have a husband who loves this sport and a son that is awesome (most of the time) even when mama is not here because of trainings. In 2 weeks, I’ll join a bootcamp. A roller deby bootcamp.

Gore Gore Roller Girls.

So this is my derby girls all dressed for this special training during halloween. Let me introduce hers ^^

Holy Bitch, captain of the team.

This is my Derby Wife ( check her blog here). When she has something in mind, you can’t help her to go all the way ! And when something has to be said, she’s here to lead the strict but good way. She’s also one of the best jammer we have ;)

On the left, you may see the most positive girl I know and talented artist, Bloody Kitty. She’s one of the co-founders of the team. I don’t know much her yet but I’m already a fan of this girl.

On the back, you may see a cheerful little lady called La Valseuse. Man I love her skating ! She’s like a cat when she’s rolling on the track, a fast one. But beware, don’t step on her shoes, she may bite you cause she rocks. She’s an other good jammer.

On left, Crash’a'tella, 16 years old. This girl wants it all. When you see her in your back, you know it gonna hurts (watch me falling in the video). Also an other good jammer.

On the right , Cent’orride, this girl is such a good person that it’s the embarrassment in her Roller Derby practice. But she’s working hard to move on and she always has terrific funny words about life. I love this girl.

Look at this girl ! She’s about to grumble for sure, it’s Tatie Cardie. Her butt is having hard times but she’s tough !

Do you see Flying Vicious on left , an other co-founder of the team, near the newbies ? That’s what I like : girls from everywhere, different, girls I could have never met if Roller Derby has not exist. I don’t know very well each one of hers but I love them all, from old to new ones, from head to toes, they’re just so beautiful to me.

Even if sometimes I could kick some of their asses cause after all they are girls and could be very easily distracted ^^

I could not leave you without sharing with you this double fall. Karine falling on Crash’a'tella (and because Karine always says I forget her ;) ) right in front of Shell-e’s camera. Thank you girl By The Way.

2 years old birthday party.

So before the blog hiatus, I forgot to post my recap pics of the Birthday Party of Otohiko. Here they are.

As we surprisingly had a good weather, we could party all the afternoon in the garden.

Of course, candies for kids but also some dried ananas , apricots…

If you wanna be my guest, you have to wear some awesome shoes ^^

I had to ask every mums to make their kiddos wearing shoe lace…

Joyeux Halloween !

Halloween is here. I’m not a huge fan of Halloween in France (as it’s not part of our culture and it’s a very very business thing here) but when my team mates from Roller Derby said we had to celebrate it on the weekly training by getting dressed for it, I find this opportunity to make my Roller Derby Team costume. The Furies’ Dress code is « bloody virgin » concept. Perfect for a gore gore training.

As usual, I didn’t want to spend a penny on this project. So I used the only white dress I had in my wardrobe for years, a sixties inspired one and red vinyl fabric glued it.

Hubby bought me some red glitter tights (here) few months ago that I never wore because I’m too tall but I just opened them on toes to make kind of leggings.
